Silence of the Dead, Voices of the Living

Ihrig Productions was on the National Mall bringing the message of eight anti-war sponsor organizations to the nation’s capitol.

Anchored by the acclaimed Eyes Wide Open: An Exhibition on the Human Costs of the Iraq War, this four-day experience included the display of a pair of combat boots honoring each U.S. military casualty in the Iraq war, a stage with continuous programming, a press conference, a silent march and a speak-out with celebrity guests and musical performances.

The event also included the unveiling of a new exhibit designed by Ihrig Productions commemorating the Iraqi casualties of the war.  Entitled Dreams and Nightmares: An Exhibit on Life and Death in Iraq, the exhibit received universal acclaim from visitors and is now being toured around the nation.

Ihrig Productions shaped every aspect of the experience, from designing the site plan, scenic elements, Iraqi memorial, and all graphics (print, on-line, and large-format), to crafting the message and translating that to the various live experiences.  We were responsible for all creative, technical and logistical elements, and were in charge of on-site execution.

Silence of the Dead, Voices of the Living was sponsored by American Friends Service Committee, Gold Star Families for Peace, Gold Star Families Speak Out, Iraq Veterans Against the War, Military Families Speak Out,  September 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows, Veterans For Peace, and Vietnam Veterans Against the War.
